Meetings

The primary mission of our user group is to provide information about Apple, Inc., the Macintosh, the Mac OS, and other digital-hub-related hardware and software to our membership - and to the community at large - at our monthly meetings.

Location and time

MacInSteins meetings are open to members and the public and are held at 2:30 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month at The Montgomery Academy’s Upper School Campus, 3240 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, Alabama. We meet in the computer lab in the Mary Katherine Archibald Blount Upper School classroom building - about halfway down the hall on the right on the second floor.
The building is located at the west end of the main student parking area in the front of the campus.
If you’re going east on Vaughn road from the Carter Hill Road / Zelda Road intersection, turn right at the next traffic signal on Vaughn Road - right after the pedestrian bridge (map below).

Format

  Each meeting features a presentation from a local expert or from an knowledgeable group member. Topics vary from beginner to advanced content, but information for all comfort levels is always provided.
Suggestions for topics are always welcome!

Each meeting also includes a report on current Apple and Mac OS computing news and a question-and-answer session in which attendees can help each other with (even remotely) Mac-related questions. Current members attending meetings are eligible for an occasional door prize drawing.
